Behind the Scenes with Brandon: 11 Years of Crafting Success at Wise Owl

Meet Brandon, Wise Owl Tipton’s Production Manager and the driving force behind turning conceptual drawings into reality. Celebrating his 11th year with Wise Owl, Brandon has been an integral part of the team. Here's what he had to say about his journey and the world of production management.

Can you provide a brief overview of your role at Wise Owl?

My role at Wise Owl is the Production Manager.  My job is to make the drawings a reality by providing my team with all the necessary support, materials, drawings, and parts to produce a quality product.

Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?

My hobbies include anything to do with the outdoors.  I love to ride side-by-sides and spend time in southern Indiana.  I also have an interest in working on ATV’s and vehicles and find myself buying too many projects from the Facebook marketplace.

Walk us through a typical day in your life at Wise Owl. What key tasks do you handle on a regular basis?

On a typical day at Wise Owl, I am working closely with my team fabricating and assembling tradeshow exhibits in the workshop.  In between programming parts and running the CNC or fabricating said parts, I am communicating with the production team to help with accurate estimating and planning for future builds.

Reflecting on your time at Wise Owl, can you share a particularly challenging or exciting project that stands out to you? What made it memorable?

I have fond memories of our first build for CTS.  We spent many long hours making it look the way the client envisioned.  After completion, I spent seven or so years installing the booth in Vegas.  I value the time building a stellar exhibit, but also fostering a long-term relationship with the client.

Are there any key lessons you've learned in your journey with Wise Owl that you'd like to share?

My advice would be to never give up and set goals to be the best you can be.  I worked my way up from a novice craftsman to a production manager by continually doing my best, learning many skills along the way, and going the extra mile.

What aspect of your work at Wise Owl do you find most fulfilling?

The most fulfilling aspect would be seeing what we have created from a pretty picture and having great feedback from the client.
